Extra stuff.

I don't have time to even surf the internet and shop at Banana Republic online at work anymore. It totally sucks.

I'm actually *working* really, really hard and leaning on my team really, really hard and generally acting like a short, crazy biotch general driving her army.

The past month has been a series of "I am so glad that is over" type of lament as I look at my Blackberry calendar every five minutes. Each entry grays out to a light, soft "relax - you did it" font as each event passes with time.

I opted to be the assistant coach for Erica's soccer team this year. I don't know. -shrug-

I dreaded the first practice, and I dreaded all of the other time commitments that lined up on my calendar like little dominoes on my laptop screen.

And along came the first couple of practices, and our first real game. And these 8 and 9 year old girls are trying so.incredibly.hard to win. And this is a joy. And we're lean on players, with only one sub, but the girls soldier on.

This is not just extra stuff. This is an amazing opportunity. And if you coached these kids, you'd wish you were in 4th grade again.

You would.
